On Friday, October 3rd, we celebrated the Transitus of St. Francis.  What is the transitus?  It is a beautiful ceremony commemorating the passing of St. Francis to Eternal Life.  First Vespers are incorporated into this ceremony which is complete with a recounting of the death of St. Francis according to both St. Bonaventure and Friar Thoms Celano, as well as the reverencing of the relic of St. Francis.  This year we were blessed to share this holy night with some of our local priest friends and fellow religious.  To view some photos from the festivities, please click on the collage to the right.  Sr. Mary Blogger will be adding more details about the event on the blog soon.  Till then, enjoy the photos!!
