“We
all suffer for each other, and gain by each
other’s suffering; for man never stands
alone here, though he will stand alone
hereafter; but here is he is a social being,
and goes forward to his long home as one of
a large company.” Cardinal Newman |

Dear Our Lady of Solitude Family,
As
we approach the Solemnity of Easter, we reflect on
the great generosity of our Lord, dying to free us
from our sins. Throughout this past year, we
have witnessed as well the beautiful and inspiring
generosity of His children.
From Phoenix to Iraq, we have received encouraging
emails that express everyone's excitement about this
new building project. It has been a great
consolation for all us -and each Sister wishes to
express her deep gratitude to all of our friends
both near and far.
We
are coming to call upon your generosity yet again,
as we move forward with the building of the
Monastery and Chapel. Below we wanted to
outline briefly some of the things that have been
going on:
|
| |
1. A new general contractor has been hired: Mr. Jeff Schulte.
He is very excited about the project and is
getting things moving. |
|
|
2.
We are in the process of having the electric pulled
and the well dug.
|
|
3.
We have received some of the
preliminary sketches for the
stained
glass windows. |
|
4. And finally, in addition to this, we will
begin construction on the enclosure wall
which will surround the 20 acres within the
cloister yard. To complete the wall,
though, we are in need of funds. The
estimated cost for construction of the
enclosure wall is $250,000.
|
|
|
Therefore, we come to ask that you
prayerfully consider assisting us with a
gift to help build the enclosure wall.
